- We sell several professional
strength spot & stain removers. These will help remove many
spots and stains from most carpet types. Look below or check
out our "Bottled Chemicals"
section by clicking here.
TIPS
FOR REMOVING BARBECUE SAUCE:
-
- Washables: Put glycerin (a thick solvent, available at drugstores)
on the spot, then rinse with cool water. Apply a combination
solvent, such as Shout, and let sit for 15 minutes. Finish with
a regular wash cycle.
-
- Nonwashables: Put glycerin on the spot, then rinse with cold
water. Treat with a mild detergent, such as Woolite, and very
little water. Gently rub to form suds, then rinse with cold water.
-
- Another Option
(better for clothes than
carpet): Rinse the stain with cool water. Apply a liquid enzyme
detergent and let the fabric rest for about an hour before rinsing.
Next, sponge with hydrogen peroxide (read warning below). Finally,
apply a laundry presoak and rinse thoroughly with an enzyme detergent.
We sell two bottled spotters that can help to remove Barbecue
Suace. One is called "Red-ex"
and another called "Ultra"
(see below). Check out our "Bottled
Chemicals" section by clicking here.

NOTE:
Some products like hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, bleach or alcohol
can actually bleach or change the color in some fabrics. Read
the WARNING notice below and always proceed with caution.
| WARNING: Before making any attempts
to remove spots, always test fabric for colorfastness first by
applying a small amount of the cleaning solution or chemical
on a hidden or unnoticeable area. The tips listed here are not
guaranteed to work with every carpet or upholstered item. When
using any chemical or liquid on fabric you should PROCEED WITH
CAUTION. If you are unsure as to how your carpet or upholstery
might be affected you should call a professional cleaning technician
in your area. |

POPULAR PRODUCT! "Red-ex"
helps to reduce and/or completely eliminate stains caused by Kool
Aid, fruit punch, cough syrup, some wines, chocolate, dirt,
grease, soda pop stains, and other stains caused by basic food
dyes. Red-ex has been proven effective on both natural and man-made
fabrics including nylon, polyester, and wool. Unlike other stain
removers, Red-ex does not rely on acids or common peroxides (which
can distort carpet fibers or fade colors). This product should
be used with heat from a household iron. Easy to follow instructions.
