TIPS FOR REMOVING ASPHALT
& TAR: Stains caused
by tar and similar substances as road oil, axle grease, asphalt,
and pitch are similar and certian solvents are effective for
them all. However, they are not easily removed, especially from
cotton or other natural fabrics.
Scrape off as much of the substance as possible, then follow
the directions for "Greassy Stains."
If traces remain, sponge with turpentine.
- When wiping use a light, upward, brushing motion so that
the stain will be rubbed out of the rug rather than into it.
Change your cloth when it becomes soiled and continue until the
stain is gone. Return to
